TUMMY TUCK IN SOUTHLAKE TEXAS

Expert Care

Dr. Mark E. Mason is a board-certified, Stanford-trained plastic surgeon with years of experience in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. He is well-trained in all aspects of cosmetic plastic surgery. He now focuses his plastic surgery and med spa center in Southlake Texas on procedures of the body and face to maximize results.

Will it hurt? Will I be in pain?

No cosmetic surgery is pain-free. With prescribed medications and rest, most are comfortable and back to all daily activities within 7 to 10 days. The first week of recovery after an eyelid surgery in Southlake Texas is the hardest, but our staff assists with pain management so the initial recovery period is more comfortable.

The Recovery Process

Walking may be difficult the first few days, and the stomach will feel swollen. A compression garment is worn for six weeks, but people can usually return to a desk job after approximately a week. We encourage light physical activity, such as walking, after a week. Patients are restricted from full physical exercise such as aerobics, running, or weightlifting for at least six weeks. During the healing process, the scars may appear to worsen for 3-6 months, but they usually begin fading after 9-12 months with the help of scar cream and time.
